Red, White and BOOM !

The Fourth of July is one of my very favorite holidays to celebrate, this year it had a new meaning. I have always known what the fourth of July meant and have always been a very patriotic person, but this year I personally felt the sacrifice that people make to keep our country free.

The statement "freedom does not come free" really hits home for me. We are so lucky to live in such a great country, and I thank god everyday for all the men and women who have given us this opportunity.

My mom and my sister's family came for the fourth, we had a great time and the kids were a great distraction from Aaron leaving. We did lots of fun stuff including, a trip to base to see the aircraft, trips to the beach, trips to the pool, dinners, fourth of july cookie baking, fireworks at Camp Lejeune (doesn't get more patriotic than that) and much more.
