I love a good project and since I am running out of rooms to fix up I decided to tackle my ugly laundry room! It has bugged me since we moved here 2 and 1/2 years ago, but not a priority 'till now! It drove me nuts because there was a big open shelf over the washing machine and always looked junky in my eyes no matter how many times I re-organized it ! So I decided to rip it down, paint and add new cabinets and shelves! Here are some pictures of the project!
First step..... Get rid of shelf

Next...paint

Next hang decorative shelves and decorate

Next hang a few rows of hooks behind the door for hanging things (which I found at lowes unfinished for 3 dollars, painted and distressed!)

Next problem find cheap cabinets ( looked on Craig's list, salvage store and found perfect ones at the habitat for humanity restore for $50 )

A little sanding and painting

A little more sanding and then some staining And some new knobs!

And now finally hung ( they weren't as long as I needed so I had to get creative, so I added a wooden rod to hang wet clothes!!)

Oh and this cute hook was added too

I am so excited about my new space and can't wait to do some laundry tonight!!!
